Tax Certificates

A Tax Certificate is a legal document that includes information such as the legal description, current installments, and arrears, if any for a property. A lawyer or mortgage company can request this document, if they can provide proof of interest in the subject property. Applicants must mail a written request noting the property address and roll number along with payment payable to “Tay Valley Township” in the amount of $45.00. Please allow 5 business days to process Tax Certificates once the request is received. For a rush tax certificate, it is $90.00 (required in less than 2 business days).
