Household Hazardous Waste
Municipal hazardous and special waste includes products with any of the following warnings on the label:
DANGER, FLAMMABLE, POISON, TOXIC, CORROSIVE
Tay Valley is committed to divert as much hazardous waste from the landfills as possible. By disposing of these materials properly, residents are helping to protect our environment.
Please try to have your paperwork filled out before you go. Paperwork can be sent to you by e-mailing envirofire@lanarkhighlands.ca, or download the form at the following link:

One Day Only - Saturday, July 18th 2026
8:30AM - 2:00PM
Lanark & District Civitan Club - 2144 Pine Grove Road Lanark, ON K0G 1K0
This event is for residents of the Township of Lanark Highlands and Tay Valley Township ONLY.
People may be required to provide proof of residency.
Additional Drop-Off Sites
With some conditions, Home Hardware may accept paint cans (paint has to be liquid & they will not accept cans that are rusted).
