Major appliances and large household items include all large or bulky household and/or other articles usually used in the home and include, but not be limited to, upholstered chairs and sofas, tables, beds and area rugs.

These are items that are considered garbage, cannot be reused, and do not typically fit into a standard garbage bag. Note: Items in good condition should be taken to the Re-Use Centre at the Glen Tay Waste Site (mattresses are not accepted at the Re-Use Centre).

• Large, empty propane tanks are accepted at All Waste Sites. (Note: Small propane cylinders are NOT accepted - please take to Hazardous Waste Depot)
• Small appliances (eg, blender, toaster)
• Sports equipment
• Lawn furniture and planters
• Refrigerators
• Stove, Washer & Dryer
