The Orange Shirt Day Ceremony

Orange Shirt day Wednesday September 30th

The Orange Shirt Day Ceremony on September 30th is an Indigenous Elder led Ceremony including drumming, singing and Pipe Ceremony. The Ceremony is to remember and honour the children who attended Residential Schools.

The Ceremony will include telling some of the stories from those who attended the schools and include information that increases our awareness of the impact on individuals and the inter-generational trauma that has occurred as a result. 

The Residential School system is a tragic part of Canadian history, becoming more informed and developing understanding is part of the commitment to Truth and Reconciliation.

5:30pm at the Indigenous Healing Circle located in Last Duel Park in Perth.
