NOTICE – SIGNIFICANT WEATHER EVENT DECLARATION – UPDATE #1
As of this morning, the plows have cleared all the Township’s roads, however another major winter storm is forecasted this long weekend. The next system is scheduled to begin Saturday afternoon and continue into Sunday night with a forecasted 20-30+ cm of snow.
The significant Weather Event that was declared on February 12, 2025, will remain in effect until further notice.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC CONSULTATION: The County of Lanark is undertaking two major studies that will impact long term land use planning within the County. The related reports are currently available in a draft form for review and comment. They contain background information and direction that may inform future updates of the Lanark County Official Plan. The Aggregate Resources Master Plan (ARMP) is the first of its kind for Lanark County. The Growth Management Strategy is a 5-year update.

NOTICE – SIGNIFICANT WEATHER EVENT DECLARATION
Due to the forecasted weather, Tay Valley Township is declaring a Significant Weather Event under Ontario Regulation 239/02, Minimum Maintenance Standards for Municipal Highways, effective Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 10:00pm, until further notice.
The declaration suspends the standard timelines required for Tay Valley Township to meet its winter maintenance obligations.

St. Paddy's Day Event - Open Mic and Games, with optional Irish stew supper, at Maberly Hall (180 Maberly Elphin Road) in support of the Bright Strings Community Fiddle Orchestra (previously Blue Skies Fiddle Orchestra) on Friday March 14th from 5pm - 7pm.
The fiddle orchestra is now a separate entity from the Blue Skies organization and has to fund itself 100% as it brings music and musical training to adults and kids alike in our communities.
