Low Water Status Now 'Normal' in Tay River and Rideau Lakes; Water Levels Remain Low in Bobs and Christie Lakes
Watershed conditions in the Tay River and Rideau Lakes watersheds have returned to “Normal’ under the Ontario Low Water Response Program. However, the water levels in Bobs and Christie Lakes, which are used throughout the recreational season to augment the flow in the Tay River and regulate navigation in the Rideau River, are still below average for this time of year.

Norah Christy receives the Tay Valley History Scholarship
Norah Christy, a graduate of Perth & District Collegiate Institute is this year’s recipient of the Tay Valley History Scholarship. Norah, who is pursuing her studies in arts at McGill University, received a cheque in the amount of $1,200 and a copy of the legacy book At Home in Tay Valley.

$10,100 raised towards the purchase of MRI.
A big shout out, with our thanks and gratitude, to everyone in Tay Valley Township who donated to the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation for the purchase of a MRI.
The arrest of Councillors Korrine Jordan and Marilyn Thomas and your donations to help them pay the bail of $5,000 set for their crimes led to a total of $10,150 in funds raised to support this worthwhile initiative—almost double the ask!

The Corporation of Tay Valley Township owns and operates the Bolingbroke Cemetery under License #CM-01931.
The Township will be submitting a proposed new Bolingbroke Cemetery By-Law to the Registrar of the Funeral, Burial, and Cremation Services Act, 2002.
