Fire Ban Update: April 11th, 2024
The Fire Ban has been lifted for Drummond/North Elmsley Township and Tay Valley Township.
There are still some areas in our Townships that are dry. Do not burn in areas with long dead grass, do not burn on windy days and never leave a fire unattended. Always have a water source available to extinguish the fire.
A burn permit is required for all open air fires.

Parks Canada's water management team continues to actively monitor water levels, flows, and weather forecasts across the Rideau Canal National Historic Site of Canada. These factors are used to determine dam operations on a daily basis for the Rideau Canal National Historic Site of Canada.

The third Tuesday of every month, starting April 16th 10AM – 12PM at Maberly Community Hall 180 Maberly Elphin Road.

Spring Storm to Increase Water Levels Throughout the Rideau Valley
The Rideau Valley Conservation Authority is issuing a WATER SAFETY message for the entire Rideau Valley Watershed.
A Colorado Low is expected to bring significant precipitation to the region, starting Wednesday, April 3 and lasting through Thursday, April 4. The precipitation will fall as a mix of snow and rain.
