The Tay Valley Township Municipal Office will be CLOSED on Friday, April 18th for Good Friday and Monday, April 21st for Easter Monday. 

Waste Site – Hours

Good Friday April 18th – All Waste Sites Closed
Saturday April 19th – All Waste Sites Open
Sunday April 20th – All Waste Sites Closed
Easter Monday April 21st – All Waste Sites Closed

RVCA - UPDATE #4: Flood Watch Maintained for Upper Watershed Lakes as Water Levels Remain Elevated

April 11, 2025 – Water levels and flows remain high in the Upper Watershed lakes area, while reservoirs in the area have limited remaining capacity. This increases the risk of localized flooding in low-lying regions. As such, a Flood Watch continues to be in effect for this area. The Flood Watch for the Long Reach portion of the Rideau River between Smiths Falls and Manotick has ended as water levels and flows have stabilized.

Parks Canada's water management team continues to actively monitor water levels, flows, and weather forecasts across the Rideau Canal National Historic Site. These factors are used to determine dam operations on a daily basis for the Rideau Canal National Historic Site.

MISSISSIPPI VALLEY WATERSHED – FLOOD WATCH – April 11, 2025

A Flood Watch Statement indicates that flooding is possible in specific watercourses or municipalities. Municipalities, emergency services and individual landowners in flood prone areas should prepare.

MVCA is terminating the Flood Warning issued April 5, 2025. A Flood Watch remains in effect.
