MISSISSIPPI RIVER WATERSHED - LOW WATER LEVEL III
Level III Low Water – Indicates a failure of the water supply to meet demand. Key focus is on regulation & enforcement.
This Low Water Statement is an update to the Statement issued September 5, 2025.
Watershed Conditions: June through September experienced below-average rainfall combined with above-average temperatures, resulting in increasingly dry conditions across the Mississippi River Watershed....

Municipal Office – National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
On September 30th, the Municipal Office will be closed for the observance of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. On this day, we recognize and commemorate the tragic history and ongoing legacy of residential schools in Canada. While doing this, we honour both the lives of the innocent children who died, as well as the healing journey of Survivors and their families.
The Municipal Office will reopen October 1st 2025.

Open House at the South Sherbrooke Fire Station on Saturday October 4th from 8am to 12pm for Fire Prevention Week.
Activities may include:
- Charge into Fire Safety: Lithium Ion Batteries in Your Home (2025 Fire Prevention Week theme)
- Smoke / CO Alarm Q/A Sessions
- Live Fire Extinguisher Training
- Tours of the Fire Station and Fire Trucks to help promote firefighter recruitment for the South Sherbrooke Station
