Recreation Advisory Committee 
The Township’s Recreation Advisory Committee was formed in November 2001 to hear advice from and support for community activities. Members are drawn from across the township and are interested in seeing the development of activities both in their communities and across the Township. Members want to see the Township’s recreational infrastructure maintained on a regular basis and enhanced in the future.

In 2002 the committee strongly supported the purchase and placement of new play structures for children in Fallbrook, Maberly and Stanleyville.

Registrations for the 2010-2011 season will be accepted at the Township Office starting in May 
with a registration deadline of September 10th , 2010.  

Registration forms are available at the Township Office or you can download the form below and deliver or mail your form to the Township Office or use the drop box beside our front steps after hours.

We Love to Sing! Do You?

Tay Valley’s  Community Choir is open to people of all ages who love to, 
or want to sing.  No audition is required, only the love of singing!  Practices are held  Monday evenings rotating between  the Glen Tay Public School and the Maberly Hall (Adult Choir - 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm).
Registration fee is $35 per adult (Fall session) or $65 (Winter/Spring session). 
Registrations are accepted at the Tay Valley Township office or by mail.

All soccer is held at the Glen Tay Public School on Monday evenings from 6:00- 7:00 pm.

TAY VALLEY TOWNSHIP OUTDOOR RINKS

The Township has two outdoor winter rinks, which are operated mainly by community volunteers.  The rinks are open to all residents for recreational skating and non-league hockey, according to a posted schedule.

The Bowes Rink is located in Glen Tay, at the Glen Tay School on Harper Road.  The Maberly Rink is located south of Hwy #7, 6beside the Fire Hall.  The Glen Tay rink schedule is posted on this site from opening day each winter, usually around mid-December, and provides for the use of the rink, outside of school hours, at specified times for skating and hockey.

Volunteers are always needed for care of the rink.  For further information, contact the Township Office at (613) 267-5353.
